new rear fender

hi i just got a new 2004 kdx220. after break in im gonna get a pipe and silencer for it. I want to give it a more mx look by getting a mx rear fender w/o the light. maier plastics makes one but its 51 bucks on their website and there is no pisture of it. does anyone know a cheaper place to buy one besides off maiers homepage? also, after i get the new fender, what should i do with the wires that went to the light? do i have to connect them to make a curcit or just tuck them in somewhere? thanks for any help.

I can't help about the guard but with the wires just put tape over the end (to water proof them) and then zip tie them to the frame.

The black maier fender looks good and is no problem to install. The wires running to the taillight can be removed from the wire harness by disconnecting them via the push-in terminal connectors.

the cheapest you can get it is like 49$, plus shipping. There used to be a picture on Maier's site. Maier is the only company that makes a KDX MX rear fender.
