Hi , just have a couple questions for you guys. I purchased a 2000 KX 125 this summer for $1200. It started on the first kick(good sign),and is good mechanically.I feel it was a good buy. Is this a good beginners bike. it came with a procircut pipe and has plenty of power to do wheelies with me. Second Iam about 200lbs and was wondering what kind of a suspension setup would be good for a motocross track. Can i determine if the setup now is good by how much sag there is when i sit on the bike.
Thanks , I know it was a long post. Nick

The amount of sag you need is 100mm, but do a search on this site to get the specifics on suspension set up. If your bike has the original springs you could probably use heavier ones for your weight. I had a 2002 KX125, like it. Have fun!

I bought the bike for riding up at college. Was not able to get out this fall.Going to try this spring. The bike was for sale at a local motocross shop. The guy selling it was asking $1400. Motor is fine but could use rear tire and new brakes, got him to bite on $1200. Thanks for the info. helps alot.
