christmas is coming and being in the woods where so many people ride i need to get in on this. srry im a noob :bang:

1) your physical size (both height and weight are important)-5'7 220
2) How physical / aggressive are you ? not so much
3) what do you plan to ride- trails and maybe pits , woods
4) Do you have any riding experience? 0
5) Do you think you will race ? no
6) Are you mechanically inclined and will you be doing your own bike work? yes
7) Do YOU have a preferance to a brand/ motor choice (2 or 4 stroke)? ide rather have a big brand(yamaha, kawasaki, honda etc.)
8) Do you have a dealer close by your home that you might use and what brand(s) does he carry? yes
9) How much ($) do you plan to spend on a bike? up to 1500
10) Do you live in California?no

12) anything else that you think would help form an opinion- friend rides kawasaki 250 not sure which one

i would say no because you will be bored on a 125 4t in about a week.

i would say a 250 4t it will be good for the woods because of the bottom end. im 5'9" and 155 and a 125 4t is too small. the suspension bottoms over anything.

a 250 4t will let you be able to keep up w/ your friend. just remember to take it slow the first week.

though if you werent doing trails for your price range i would say a 125 2t. they are cheaper then the 250 which will be harder to find in your price range.

i would look for a 125 2 stroke in your price range. I know the 125's are a little twitchy but once you start to get hang of them they are a fun bike. A 125 4 stroke would be no good for you, you would bottom the thing out everytime you hit bump seeing as your 5'11" 220lbs

i forgot about ur weight,a 125 4 stroke wouldnt be able to take jumps with without bottoming out everytime, look for a older 125 2 stroke like forza said. or a 200 2 stroke if u can find one

Yea for your size and weight I would suggest a YZ125/CR125. You can find both (00-03 models) within your price range. If you guys are riding real trails you should be able to keep up just fine.

thats what i ride on the trails a yz 125 have no problem keeping up with 250's. more often than not the trail will tell you how fast you can go. you just need to keep the 125 reved a little more
