I stopped on a parasdde lap once to change a fouling plug. Bike started running ratty again and when I tried to change the second one, I noticed the choke was still on.
The other time it died I dropped to my knees to change what I thought was a fouled plug since it backfire as it died. I knew the bike had been surging because of overheating but I never put 2-n-2 together till I saw the radiater hose hanging from under the gastank that I had forgotten to put back on in the garage. I noticed this while I pulling the spark plug wire off the motor that it had melted to. I figured it was toast so I finished out the last half hour of the race and when we pulled the motor down it was all still in spec after 2 hours of racing. Who say's KTM motors aren't tough.
You don't want to know the other 20 years of dumb and dumber
