are octane aditives worth it? do they help or is it just talk? i dont have any trouble running premium but i was just wondering if they work or not.

I've been using torco accelerator which raises 93oct to @100oct with@ 11oz of accelerator being added to 5gal. Eric did a 265 for me and recommended @98oct. I've used @25gal of fuel so far and no detonation.

Bikes with head work to increase compression may benefit from octane boost but the stock build will not. Most autostore boost is hype methenol alike for the "Fast and the Furious" crowd. Oh, and it doesn't do much for them.
