This is going to be my first year at the desert 100. i have rode similar terrain in mattawa. but for the race is there anything that i should come prepared for ect...?

I think you need to make sure your bike can go 50 miles without refueling. Check with the organizers though.

Have fun man. I wish I could go, but unfortunately I have exams. I'll be there next year though.
