I broke my odometer this summer during a trip to Colorado. The cable is out of the odometer, I just wansn't sure how to get it off/out of the other end.

Mine requires you to take out the phillips headed screw in the odo drive unit (on the front wheel) just below where the cable goes in and the cable will pull straight out.
