Ohio John Penton GNCC question

Guys:

On May 20-21, the John Penton GNCC is held near Athens, Ohio. Has anyone participated?

My bro and I were considering trying it out, but we've never raced an HS or a GNCC. However, we have done a LOT of woods riding and raced MX.

Just how difficult is the GNCC near Athens?

I raced it last year in the minis with my yz85. Expect rainy and muddy conditions, if you can ride in the mud good then you should be fine.

It's probably my least favorite track on the circuit. I like fast tracks like NC and the WISP. There is always a huge rut the entire length of the track. Mud riders love it!

set your bike up softer than your mx setup.lots of ruts and some nasty roots on some of the hills.it's always a wet muddy race. don't forget a drink system like a camelback or something you will need it.have fun and good luck. I might see you there i'm #212 honda crf250 ,mudrabbit
