The only place to buy ohio sticker is the license bureau.

Meet in parking lot, it's not that big.

I drive grey 4x4 tundra, grey enclosed trailer.

I don't have a title for the bike. I guess there's a place nearby for a temp decal? Or can I get one at the local license bureau?

The it's 10 AM in the parking lot. I sure hope to be there.

I was confused by your email, I thought you lived in PA.

If you live in Ohio, go to your local license bureau. According to Dead, you can get the temp sticker for $4.

I do live in Ohio. But right on the river, 40 miles from Pittsburgh.

The license bureau wants a title and I dont' have one. I'll keep looking for info......... But can I get a 'day pass' locally, like at WNF?

The wayne day pass is different. At wayne you need both the Ohio sticker and a Wayne pass.

At Perry you just need to sticker. Dead managed to get a temp sticker like you would get a temp plate for your car, without the title.

gcwin,

Tell them you need a temp APV(all purpose vehicle) sticker. Its white and in the shape of Ohio. It'll cost you 4.25 for 30 days. Make sure you have your VIN with you.

How many riders are going?

These are the people I know for sure.

XR-MAN aka Dale
KelvinKDX aka Jim (are your buddies from Columbus coming?)
Dead aka Kevin

Well the local BMV lady (who knows me well enough to really want to help) says tha the 'temp' sticker is for out of state only. So that's a no go.

Shall I try to go it bareback?

You need to talk to your local DMV lady and have her call Columbus if she has any questions. I have gotten a temp (white) sticker prior to getting my last bike titled as well.

At this late point in the game, I think I'll just punt. I really hate to be a law abiding citizen but then I hate even worse to pay "the man" an exhorbitant fine for not having an $8 sticker.

And it's just my luck.......

But if you happen to see a bright blue Dodge w/a KX in the back, wave me down. I'm still gonna make another call on this deal.

Sounds goofy. I just got back from the DMV. I guess you can only get 1 temp sticker. Someone told me you could get multiple stickers. Oh well, mine is good till 6/29. Whew! Guess I'll have to pay my sales tax sooner rather than later. :(

For what it's worth. I've never seen a ranger on the trails at Perry. When ever I've seen a ranger he's just riding through in his truck. I've rode without a sticker before and rode with other riders without stickers. BUT I was there about a month ago handing out fliers for my stolen bikes and there was a ranger there just standing around.
Bummer Jason. I'll get in touch in a couple of weeks.

Here's a idea for anyone without the sticker. A street plate is as good or better, if you have a dual sport with a plate, no sticker needed.

So as most enduro riders do, take a plate off a street bike and bolt it on the rear fender. Like SPD said, in 10 years of riding Perry, I have only saw a Ranger once, and he was driving thru the parking lot.

I have saw many Rangers at Wayne, but never saw one call in a plate or sticker to see if it was for that bike. I just point to my sticker as I pass by like I know what I'm doing, and they wave you on.

This whole deal with getting a title started in '99 so the state could make you pay sales tax on a used bike.

I twisted my bars, got tackled by Bill, and looped my bike out a few times. It was a good day! Lots of killer hills.
