Oil change gone bad.

What do I do? The drain bolt came out but the bottom of the transmission, where the bolt goes in chipped. Basically the threading that holds the bolt in has 1/2 chipped off.

Any suggestions?

What is that ?

Can I use it even if the part that cracked was extended from the case. Meaning, like the threaded part wasn't flush with the bottom of the case?

Take it to a shop and tell them to helicoil (re thread) it.

Can they rethread it even if a chunk of metal is missing?

i doubt it, you might have to take the engine out and get it welded
