Oil Leaks '89 KDX 200

Oil on motor '89 KDX 200

I Pick up my new bike KDX 200 89 model (new to me anyway) this weekend and it has a couple of oil leaks,Gear lever seal and connection between head and exhaust.

Is the gear lever seal easy to change?

Also never had a 2 stroke bike (let alone rode one) but should the exhaust be covered in oil around the end?
