OK Jer, will ATF work with my mystery valving?

Maybe the last guy was jumping in the X games . Why would the rear ride low with that heavy rear spring, unless he had the preload backed off all the way like a ZPS quad setup.He must have had to do that to get it to be anywhere near comfortable .As for the springs I like the 43/44s and rear sounds good around5.0/5.2 rate. We set up alot of 01s this way and most people were happy . On the 02s were using 5wt at like 100/110mms and pulling out a little comp valving or putting a small seperator washer around the middle of the L/S stack . We beleive it lightens up the small little stuff and feels a little plusherall the way through . On these newer KYBs with aluminum damping rods I like to buff or polish the outsides of the rod a bit to releive or help alleviate some of the mechanical drag /stiction and beleive that this helps a bit also esp reacting on the small stuff and little chatter bumps. I guess everyone has their own setups and some are more preference than anything else.

The air tanks do add capacity but also add a restriction so under slow fork speeds the restriction doesnt matter, under fast impacts the restrictor causes a slowing of the fork travel without harshness-this stops heavy bottoming.
