Im new to the boards here and have a few questions for you all. I have had an old CR125M Elsinore ('76 i think) that I am rebuilding. First question is... where is the VIN number located on this bike? I checked all over the frame and the only number I can find is on the case and it says 8009807 doesnt look like a VIN to me.
Second question would be.. and I dont know if you can answer this one or not... but I purchased this off some guy at a garage sale about 10 years ago and he did not have any paperwork for the bike, he says that the guy he bought it from didnt have it either... how would I go about registering this bike if I do not have title? I was thinking my first step would be to take the VIN (once I find it) to the DMV and see if it is a stolen bike... then what?
