On line car sales?

I have had our neon on auto trader.com for while and some guy contacts us from england and it just seems fishy.

Does anyone have experience with scams? Any advice would be appreciated.

I really appreciate your response and i  located in england, please i have told my client about
the price and he said that it is okay by him, I have also instructed
him to forward the check to you, but please i will like you to do me
a favour, my client will be sending the check of ($10,000) which
means that there will be an excess fund of ($4,500) on the check,and you will deduct your real cost which is ($5500)
please all I am asking from you is to please help me send down the
balance to my shipper who will be coming for the pick-up through
money gram immediately you receive the check.and the only way the
check can get to your location is by giving me your full name and the
address you want the check to be send to including your mobile and
cell phone number
Please i will like to know if you could help me out.

Have heard somthing similar to this. They try to get you to send a check for the overage before their check clears and then they cancel their check.

If you do it, be sure to cash their check and have your money and the shippers money in hand before sending a check to the shipper.

But have fun with him. Make him send you the check. At least then you have him for mail fraud. That's a Federal offense. When he starts bugging you, let him know the check was bad and the FBI is involved.
