Paint?

I need to paint my frame on my 87 rm80, and i want the best way to paint it with price in mind. Please dont tell me powder coat because it costs too much. what primer, type of paint, brand and clear coat should i get? :ride:

PJ1 rattle can available at your local motorcycle dealership. Follow the instructions on the can, it will tell you which primer and clear to use.

if you have a blue frame just use some krylon blue or black. power wash the frame and get a can of brake parts cleaner and spray it and get it as clean as you can. lightly sand it if you want to and just do some thin coats of paint and that should do it..

If you want black I'd suggest some rattle can epoxy from the harware store. I've used the kind for kitchen appliances and it's worked great! Hard glossy surface that lasts better than typical enamel. :cool:
