Patriotism and The World Series.

Did anyone see the opening ceremonies at game one of the World Series? They had human diaramas of the Marines raising the flag atop Mt. Sarabachi (sp) and of the firefighters raising the flag at the WTC. Absolutely incredible. Very cool. They also had four F-16's fly over after the national anthem.:cool:

I absolutely agree - it gave me chills. I also thought Ray Charles was incredible singing America the Beautiful before Game 2. The World Series - very cool and very American.

Cripes, I can't even think about it without getting goosebumps!

(should they change the National Anthem from "Star Spangled Banner" to "America the Beautiful?" :think )

I think if they listened to Ray singing it, they might have a stronger argument for that! Powerful song, especially when Ray Charles sings it. Personally, I'm kinda used to 'The Star Spangled Banner". But, hey, times change. You never know.
