Just bought my first KDX 200, a 1996 model - great scooter! It has an FMF Fatty and the airbox lid off - but still would like more power - Use to ride a stock '79 Can-Am 250 Qualifier which seemed to have more power - can I get the KDX there with just bolt-on mods? How much will new reeds help?
I want to set up to ride in sand dunes - any idea if the 12 T front sprocket will help there?
I read Dave's notes - great stuff - the RB carb mods seemed interesting but I could not find an RB Designs homepage or phone book listing - anyone have any contact and/or pricing info? I asked Jeff Fredette about boring the 35mm carb on the 200 - he said it's not worth the money to go to 36mm - does what RB does beyond boring really make that much difference? What do I lose?
Also, any suggestions on brighter headlights powered by the stock lighting coil?
