I think i set a record for bike assembly. I went from cases with bearings in them, bare frame, and bare hubs to a completed bike in less than 24 hours. I worked about 18 straight to get it done in time to go riding before I had to fly back to school. Too bad the water pump (only part I didn't fix) started leaking and I couldnt ride it.

I'd have to say that it came our pretty well myself too:). Biglou, I have a stack of those towlels, they serve me very well in the garage.
BTW, that bike shows you what ebay shopping can do, I purchased most parts for it on ebay for up to 75% off retail. The whole front brake setup new was 46 dollars without pads!

SlimRacing, it wasnt that clean before all the mods. It was fairly clean, but the aluminium had become weathered and the frame looked like junk from rock scratches. I had the cases split for a crank, so I removed all the bearings and beadblasted them so they look like new, and once I did that I went nuts and did the rest of the aluminium parts on the bike.
I have a friend who did the frame powdercoating for free and then the rest of the cosmetic stuff exploded from there.
The bike has been completely modified since new, but it was time to complete the works package with the looks, brakes, etc.

Thanks for all the compliments!

You notice any difference with the different front rotor?

It made huge, huge difference and its not even broken in yet. I have ridden the bike around my backyard a few times and up and down the street a little to bed the brakes in a bit. It really is not much bigger than stock (maybe 5 mm radius increase max) and the caliper is moved out an equal amount, but the difference it made is unreal. I took a local pros advice and skipped the fancy brake line etc cause that just makes it touchy. I got the rotor and bracket off ebay for 46, added some good EBC pads and it is amazing, one finger stoppies and it is easily modulated. I am getting a galfer setup for the rear for 80 through another one of the 100000 parts hookups I have developed over the years.:)
