does anyone know of a good way to clean up plastic panels, like removing scratches or adding back shine?

all of my plastics look good except they are all scratched up from years of riding through trees.

PC racing plastic restore kit. You wet sand out the scratches with 400 girt sandpaper, then steel wool it, finally you apply a chemical that restores the shine. Worked well on my bikes, I think the kit was $15.00 at Chaparral.

Honestly, it's easier to buy new plastics. I've "rubbed out" dirty and faded plastics with acetone. Once cleaned I soak overnight with Turtle Wax F-21, then buff with a cleansoft rag.

easier yes, but a lot more expensive. and im cheap.
