I got bored today and decided to try something on my scratched up and dull rear fender. I first took some 360 grit sand paper and smoothed out the rough parts, then switched to 500 to get it smooth, to get it shiny again I used some rubbing compound followed by some professional paint polishing compound with a DA buffer. It was looking pretty good after all that rubbing but not shiny enough so I tried some clear plastic polish stuff (i think it was called novus), that helped a little but not much. In the end I went from scratched dull plastic, to smooth kind of shiny polish. I might try the Mop N Glow trick and see how that works out. Anyway, I thought I would pass that info on to you guys, if I remember I will post a picture tommorow.

a few words. It is called PC Plastic renew. You can find it in Dennis kirk for pretty cheap. I makes it look better than stock shine with minimal work. just put about 4-8 coats of it on and bam it shines like new! Try it you will be happy.

Yes, I know of plastic renew, ive tried it and it seems to be the same exact thing as the mop n glow I can get at walmart for $3. the reason I dont like it is it doesnt really fix the plastic, it just covers it up. My goal was to actually make the plastic shine again, not the goop I put on top of it.
