Polishing Frame

I was looking to get some help on polishing up my bikes frame.

I have a 04 crf250x that I want to polish it up. Never done this before, any advice would be cool.

I always sanded with 1000grit paper then used a 3 inch pneumatic buffer and finally a good hand rub and it always looked like a mirror.

I only did the smooth parts near the shrouds and engine.
