OK, whats the deal the file size? I posted a pic in JPEG that was like 1.5 inches X .88 inches and it still won't load. Is there anything I can do to get it to post???

Are you posting from your hard drive? Should be able to click the "Browse" button and get a pop-up window to your "C" drive and you select your pic from there. The limit on size is 50k and 500x600 (I think). I've never had any problems with it.

YA

locating the picture on the hard drive is not the problem, it just won't post. I'm not sure to tell how big the file is but if I make it any smaler it won't be sorth looking at. I'll see if I can figure it out.

Try leaving it the same size but increase the compression so the overall size is smaller. On a Windows system if you right click the file the Properties menu item will give you size info.

Another thought.

You can open the picture in "Paint" and on one of the drop-down menus it says "Attributes". This will give you the pixel dimensions of the picture.
When you try to post, do you get an error message that says "The image is too large, please post image that is 500x600 or less" (or something like that)?
Once opened in paint, you can reduce the size by a selectable percentage-click on "Image" then "Stretch/Skew" and then type in the percentage number you want to reduce it to in both the vertical and horizontal boxes.
Also note that you can select an area of the picture and save just that area. Example-You have a nice riding shot of yourself but you are small in the picture and there is a lot of excess scenery that you want to trim away.
Just play around with it, that's how I learned myself how to do it!
BTW-Save the pics as .jpeg's, not .gif's or .bmp's! Those file types are typically 6-10 times larger than a .jpeg. Use the drop-down window for "Save as Type File" when you click "Save As" after doctoring your image.
You can Email me direct if you have any questions. Good luck!

Like BigLou said, if the file size is too big you will get a message. The problem that I have had in the past is with the "Preview Reply". If you do that then the picture does not get posted. I think?

I've never even used the "Preview Reply" before. Is that so you can do a self spellcheck? Lemme try it now with a pic...
BTW-Nice bike, eh?:D

Got it, Wes!

If you click "Preview Reply", you have to click the "Browse" button again and re-attach the pic. One thing I have noticed, however. If you submit a reply without a pic, you can't go back and add one to that reply. You can go back and change the pic on a reply that already has one.
So now we know!:)

I give up!

It worked in the Places to ride forum, but was too small and had to be a GIF. Now nothing!!!

I have been trying for along time to get pictures to post and I finally got it to work tonight. The thing is, I didn't do anything different this time:think
It used to only work in here for me.
