Hi - just wondering on a 125 whether it does harm to the gears to do clutchless shifting up the gearbox under full power without shutting off. The engine note stays constant and gears don't seem to hesitate or complain. Is this abuse or is it ok?

I'd say that this method is a off course harder on the gears than shifting it with the clutch engaged, but the machine was designed to handle it. At least for some years. I think this is valid for both down and up shifting...

I've been doing the same in my 250 for years, without any problems...

I think it is harder on the gears and might cause you some $$$
