My dad finally had the surgery, yesterday. All indications are that it was very successful. No problems whatsoever. He now has blood flow below his knee. The doc removed all of the the dead tissue and said that it went deeper than he had thought, but has high hopes that the wounds will heal now that there is circulation. The major concern now is that his kidneys and liver will be able to deal with the effects of the anesthesia.
