Hey, I wondering which one of the two oils I should run. The ratio I use is 32:1. I'm deciding between Klotz R50 or Maxima K2 and I also heard Motul 600 is pretty good. I'm leaning towards the synthetics more because last time I ran Maxima Castor 927 and my pipe was full of carbon and the jetting was spot on. Its just a hassel to clean the pipe every 8hrs or so. My other question is will any of these oils seperate with race gas. I've heard Klotz can but the last time I've used it I never had a problem. I use Turbo Blue 110. I do plan on running 32:1 in my 250 and 125 and I ride a big sand mx track so its WFO. Thanks

i use k-2...

i dont like klotz because when i used that super techini plate crap, it would throw me threw topends REALLY fast, and right when i swiched i noticed a big diference in top end life... but that was not r50

i have used r50 once, and i thought it burned really dirty.. my bike fouled plugs, but it wasent jetted corectly either...

so far i love the k-2
but the klotz stuff sure does smell good

It looks like I'll run the Maxima K-2 then. The Klotz smells good though.

What's that stuff cost around where you live? I just can't see dropping $8-10 a quart at the local shop when I can get the Mobil 1 Racing 2T for $6.99 at Auto Zone.

I wouldn't run the motul unless you go to 40:1. 40:1 and 50:1 it will be fine. I tried running it at 32:1 and it didn't work very well. Now at 40:1 and I'm good now.

I run 600 in the PW's, but I put 800 in the premix bikes at 40:1. I have had no problems, and use a little less oil than i would at 32:1.

Well, I can get a liter of K2 for around $10 from RockyMountainMC. I have ran Mobil 1 2T in the past and its descent and cheap but the AutoZone around here doesnt carry it anymore. Do any true synthetics have problems with seperation with race gas or is it just castor based oils?

Well, Dennis Kirk carries MX2T in pint bottles according to there magazine. Robwbright, Whats the ratio your running in your 144 with the Mobil?
