premix & tranny oil

Hey y'all, I just purchased a cherry 2001 kx 250. What kind of premix and tranny oil are most of you using? Thanks so much!! Oh, I don't have any info as to what kind of oil the last person that owned this bike was using. :moon:

I run maxima castro for premix and spectro for trany oil

i use Bell Ray H1R synthetic, and Bell Ray Gear Saver 80w

Most people on here will tell you, if you change oil often you can use any reasonable-quality motor oil (no EC rating) in the tranny. If you like to stretch the oil change intervals then Bel Ray Gear Saver is a good oil to use. For premix, start experimenting. Find whatever is available at your local dealer and start using it.

MobilMX2T and anybrand Type F ATF in the gearbox

I use Motul 800 2T-Racing at 1,5% and any automotive API-SJ (or superior) in the transmission. That requires a change every 4 rides, though.

i use AMS oil and ATF type F in the tranny. we've never had any prolbem with the clutch slippin or anythin.
