Well you guys I have been trying to thank of something to get after I sell my 1991 Honda XR250R and I was really only thinking about getting a 2-Stroke and then the Yamaha YZF's and WRF's. I would most likely look more at the YZ250F so if I ever wanted to I could take it to the Motocross track and also so I can jump things around my house. How is the YZ250F's Low End power for trails? Would I have to use any clutch? I know I am in a different part of this country than some of you guys(North Carolina) but what are some of paying for your knew YZ250F's? I know retail is $5,499. I might be better off since I am a Honda man to just go with the Honda XR400R. What do you guys think. Personally I think the Yamaha's are way over priced. I mean take the XR400R for instance, Its got 400cc's and the YZ250F has 250cc's. The XR400R is $5,299 and the 250F is $5,499. The 400 is $200 cheaper and has 150cc's more. I know the XR400R is out dated some what but I mean thats B.S. that the 250F is that much at retail. Just My .02 so please no body take offense to this. Thanks Matt

now i'm more of a honda kid myself, but i'm gonna have to suggest the 250f. those big XRs are too big and bulky in my opinion when you've got the option of getting a YZF. BTW, why did you give up on the 2-strokes?

I got a 2002 YZF 250 for 5100.00 OTD. I'm sure the dealer made good as well or he wouldn't have sold it for that price. They can afford to bargain some.

Go to the "For Sale" Section for an '01 426

I was just looking in the For Sale area of this site and a guy is selling a YZ-426F for what I believe for $4,300. Don't quote me, I think that was the asking price. He had lots of extras on the bike already and he lives in the Charlotte, NC area. I've been riding a 2000 WR-400F in the Charlotte area now for about 5 months now and I love the grunt and power this thing has. I'm 5'9'' 165lbs...the bike is a little on the tall side. The suspension is great! I take it through woods trails and MX track. No problem on the MX track for the WR. I changed out the seat and tank to an after market YZ style to improve the ergos/handling. I'm really getting used to this bike now, planning on keeping it for a while.

:)
