I have a manual on order, but until then, what is the proper plug for a '99 KX250? Can I use the same BR8ES that I use in my KDX200?

Thanks!

Thanks guys!

The NGK site shows the correct plug to be the BR8EIX. One of the new Iridium plugs at $8 a pop.

Will any problems occur if I use the BR8ES?

Other people here have said they work fine. I have used the EG plugs myself with good results on my bike and the manual also say IX for mine. The EG is half way between the ES and IX as far as cost.

No, they are the same (indended use) plug. One is just intedned to last longer. The EIX will be harder to foul. I usually get my jetting right with an ES, and then switch to the EIX. This will be the third season for the EIX in md KDX....

Thanks for all the help.

The NGK site shows both the BR8ES and BR8EIX for my '04 KDX, which would seem to indicate that they are interchangeable, but only the EIX for the '99 KX. Strange.

I will go with the cheaper one and see what happens.
