Or little PW80's front end is ailing. The Jesster has used and abused it very well. The rim is bent as well as the spindly forks.

What other bike might have a similarly sized front end for a swap? I'd like something a bit heavier than what's on there now.

I've been playing with the idea of useing mountain bike triple crown forks. Like some jr-t's. Has anybody else adapted mountain bike forks to a pw80? All the preliminary measurements seem to be favouring it. I just have to borrow a set before I can tell for sure.

I'd look to a kx60. the pw is signifigantly heavier than what a mountain bike is designed for. the wall thickness would be my concern. At least with the kx60 its designed for big jumps with a heavy bike.
Or realistically if your hammering that 80 just buy used stock equpment and sell it. Then buy a bike suited for jumping and crashing as you've already done what the pw80 was designed to do, learn how to ride.

I ended up grabbing a used front end on E-bay for about $50 shipped. Got everything but the triple clamps.
