Who knew you'd be the mature one of the group :)
Anybody that knows you or Gomer could pretty easily deduce that.

I have slowly regressed since the first spodefest so I am just about on your level!

Check this out... found it on your site Ivan.

Happy Birthday (a day early) dude!

I remember when you got that little 80 and joined us at the Spodefest. Who knew you'd be the mature one of the group :)

It is in full race trim so the only roads I will be on are Road Atlanta, Road America, etc... :nener: Been riding for five years now and I just want to go racing.

Worse comes to worse I can trade this in for a new ride for the dirt.

Thanks dawg, I'm going to be at Barber next Sunday if you want to come watch me try to ride it. Someone like real tv might pay you for the footage of a big explosion and me running around Ricky Bobby style.

R America could happen sometime, like maybe if someone wanted to get a dirt ride together near there I could do a day or two of that after a race or track day. It's a 14 hour drive so I would definitely have to make a few days out of it.

I'm pretty sure I remember you from Dirtweek! Yes that was a long time ago. Glad to see you are still riding.

As I"m sure you know, riding on pavement (even if its a track) is very different from riding in the dirt. If and when you fall down, it's not a matter of IF you or the bike got damaged, it's "how much". Something will be getting at least a good rash or worse. Keep this in mind, and make sure you have good gear, and don't skimp on the gloves. My favorite brand is "Held".

The other thing about riding on pavement, is that tires seem to be a bigger deal. They are more expensive than knobbies, you really need good tires to ride hard on any track, and tire pressure is critical (much fiddling with that). Conversely, a worn set of knobbies works pretty decent as long as it isn't muddy.

Anyway, Good luck and have fun!

It does look cool until you see Mat Mladin going around it.

That looks like Road Atlanta.

Shoot me a PM if you come back to Barber. I live 6 miles from the track.

Yep, Road Atlanta it is. Barber seems to have events pretty regularly so I am sure I will be back over there soon enough.

What class are you running?
We should do a track day together sometime. I am still pretty quick for about 2 laps! LOL
