I read in a magazine a few years ago that there was an automotive radiator cap that could be used on a dirt bike. It was used because of the higher pressure rating. If anyone nows a part number and make or the type of car it came off from, a post or an e-mail would be appreciated. :thumb:

I've been told that certain KTM caps might fit a KDX. I think they are a 1.4 pressure ratio? Simplest way to check would be to cart your KDX cap down to a KTM showroom.

I just exchanged my KDX rad cap with the one from my Toyota Tacoma --but because I wanted one with a LOWER pressure rating --it's a 0.9 and a perfect fit. I'm guessing that I know why you want a higher pressure cap and if my guess is correct, it won't solve your problem. A local rider has come up with a "solution" that has completely eliminated the 220s boiling and overheating!!!

Automotive units will work.

You will find a T13r for a 13lb cap or a T16r for a 16lb cap. Stant list the T16R for like a toyota camary v6 motor, newer late 98 year.

I will try to remember the numbers of the Stant units and post later.
