My bike's right side radiator is smashed in on the outer side of the radiator. It does not leak or anything. approximately 4 rows of fins are closed up because of this. It is a 125cc bike. Do you think i can continue to use it. Do 125's run cool anyways???

without seeing it, I'd assume its OK to ride - If it were mine I'd send it to Myler's Radiator Service...what they do is truly insane.....

Same thing happend to me

Hey I just smashed about 4 or 5 rows in my radiator on my 125 and I pulled it out with a pair of channel locks. It now looks like it never happend. Better than replacing it or sending it away.

Ive bent some of my radiators back into shape without any problems. But if you go on long rides out to nowhere I would take it off and test it with some air pressure under water. Dont throw 100psi on it, just 2 or 3psi and see if its bubbling out anywhere.

If it is not leaking at all, I would use a flat head screw driver and some needle nose pliers to straighten out the fins as best you can and continue running it. If you find your radiator overflow hose is spitting coolant more than usual after a good ride then it is probably not getting the air it used to and is overheating. In that case get it replaced. Just keep an eye on it and if it starts burning up coolant, spitting it excessively from the overflow hose, or leaks, replace it.

Plumma,

I have to agree with Slick. It is very easy to pull a radiator back into to shape but remember the aluminum at this point has been weakened to some degree. A pressure test is a must. Better safe then sorry.

ps: mylars has worked some serious magic on my stuff in the past.
