Having speed and taking a Number 1 plate away from RC in his first year in 250 SX are two completely different subjects. Reed is fast, there is no denying that but fast does not gaurantee you a championship. Ask Pastrana and McGrath how that works. :p You could be right about T-Boning RC in the 1st turn but then again that could just piss him off and make him more determined. ;) Seems like there was one other guy that won the 250 championship in his 1st year out but he was a special case. I would love to see Reed step up and make it a competition( last year was a yawner) but I don't think this is going to be the year :) His best bet IMO would to be to try to match RCs pace for a few weeks and see if he can upset the mental edge RC has. Matching his pace and keeping it on two wheels will be a tall order for Reed.

Hmmm Old and Slow Politically Incorrect KX Dude, I thought long and hard for a good counter to that without sounding like a delusional man who has smoked too much loco weed. True running a few laps at that speed and running 20 laps at tha speed is the difference between RC and the rest and a big difference at that. But since Chad is the new boy on the block I expect him to show up with a disrespectful attitude and actually believing he can win. I just want him to have a real go....with a bit of luck (a fistful of pixie dust) , he may biuld some confidence and momentum which are the key. If he stays fit and gets some good early results you never know he's always been a better SX rider than a MXer. But for an overall title challenger in the new year there are only a few who can really do it. For SX A fully fit Pastrana or Vuillieman both have the ability but for some strange reason I have a gut feeling for Lusk he's matured some in attitude and with a totally new bike I dont know.....it just seems like he's paid his due's and he may be ready to collect needs to get a few wins first though.

I was there..Reed has the speed to win , no doubt. BTW Reed is not new to 250's... thats all he raced in Australia. He should have tboned RC, I think Ricky was rattled that he couldnt shake Chad and was trying anything to loose him. Should be a good SX series

I remember MC used to get pissed whenever anyone got anywhere near him! That is until Ricky passed him then let MC pass him back. That was the beginning of the downhill slide for MC, because Ricky got in his head. I believe it will take the same for RC to be beaten. Someone will have to beat him straight up without an RC crash. Once he knows he can be beaten, he will be beaten!
Reed should have T-boned him! :p

thats not the first time RC has done moves like that.......i dont think its lack of drive to stuff him back (look at roncada in the nationals when he and charmicheal swapped paint), they just cant catch him to get him back! I dont always agree w/what he does, but he gets the job done. until someone stuffs him back hard he'll keep being that aggresive. its just his style.

I watched a bit of motoworld when they had this on, and RC just to0uched the ground, why didnt Reed just tap him with his pinky, he would have fallen off the bike he was struggling that much. And Rc should hav got the fine ealier in the year at the nationls, not Ron ron, or they both should have got a fine.

I agree with that. I'm all for aggressive moves and exciting racing, but when you jam your damn footpeg into some guy's lateral collateral ligament, there's a problem. I can only hope someone will TRY to return the favor soon, just for the entertainment. :thumb:
