Re-packing Silencer

Hey, i need ot re-pack my silencer but since my bike is an older model,(84 cr125) the silencer is rivited. How do i remove rivets from the silencer? Its my first time repacing the silencer so i need to get all the help i can get, thanks.

Grab a drill and an appropriately-sized drill bit and drill out the rivet.

if i drill out the rivet how do i put i back together, put in a new rivet?

do riving guns work from the outside or do they work from both inside and outside. Ive never used one.

Outside. Simple to use.

ok. what are the symptoms of ones bike whos silencer needs to be repacked?

Loud. Spooge around/coming out of the opening, loss of power, etc., etc. If it's got more than a season or two on it, re-pack it.

its probably hasnt been changed since 1984, the rivits look old.
