Rear fender questions

I am wondering if anyone has tried to put a CR 250 rear fender on a CR 500? Is there a lot of custom work?

I just don't like the rounded look of the 500 fender, and really like the flatter, sleeker look of the 250 fender.

My 500 is a '97, not sure if that makes a difference, but hey, it's more info for all...

If anyone knows if this is possible, let me know.

Yes it is possible. My brother did this to his '97. The way he did it won't work in your application though I don't think as he runs no side panels (it's a hill bike). What you can do is bolt it to the strap that goes between the two subframe rails under the seat and drill out the other two mounting holes in front to match your frame. I'm not sure if the 2000-'02 fenders will fit as he used a red '97 fender but it still looks hella better than that honkin stocker.
