Hi,
I just bought my nephew a 1996 KX60. He currently rides a modified TRX90 quad but wanted to try a bike. The KX60 is in immaculate condition. The only issue is that the rear shock is completely warn out. This is just a starter bike so I don't really want to dump money into a custom shock upgrade at this point. However, it's so soft / saggy now that it practically bottoms out when he sits on it.
So, I was wondering what my options are for now? By chance, can I swap out the current shock for a better shock from a newer KX60 / 65? Can I have this shock rebuilt and possibly put on a stronger spring? Other suggestions?
My nephew is 10 and tall for his age. He weights about 75 pounds.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks,
