Purchased a new 2002 kdx 200 and set the rear suspension sag to 100 mm. Now while the bike is sitting level I can put my hand under rear fender and raise back end up about 1 inch or so. Is this correct or is spring too soft. Just doesnt seem right to me. Any comments would be appreciated.

When you say about an inch or so is it more than an inch or less? The usual free sag should be 15-25 mm as motomad stated. An inch is 25.4 mm. If your free sag is more than 25mm you could need a lighter spring.
I've just completed adding new fork and shock springs and wow what a difference!! I couldn't be happier. I tended to washout a lot with the stock springs.

Thanks for the info-will take measurments and get back soon-as far as front fork springs should I go with aftermarket or with the optional Kawasaki springers and what size for a 160 pound rider?
