Rebuilding my Showa shock myself

I would like to try to overhaul my Showa shock myself. I need a new shock body/ or it needs to be replated inside. Are the parts available? where do I get them? Would a gold valve be a good choice? I am an aircraft mechanic and have the ability and tools.

Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated!
