Red also wrenched for our friend and LL roommate Rochelle, who raced the Women's class. Here's Red checking out the track, Rochelle before practice, and Red smiling for the camera :nener:
Here's a few photos from Rochelle's practice. First photo (if they don't get switched around), Rochelle is #11 and one of DRN's favorite riders Doug Dubach aka Dr. D. #15 is in the 10 Commandments whoop section. The Women's class practiced with the +45 class. Dubach won championships number 3 and 4 at LL's this year. Second photo is Rochelle and 9-time LL champ Kevin Foley #4. And third is Rochelle over the Suzuki Pastrana section, which was a double-double-table for most, or a triple-double or double-triple for the very top riders. We were pitted trackside by that section, so it was a cool place to watch.
Here's the grass start before any motos, Rochelle in staging for her first moto (the Women's class was the first moto of the week), and the Women's class on the line, ready to kick things off at 7:30 am, after the National Anthem. :ride:
And my last photos to share... this is local speedster Chase Sexton (#51) in the 50 Senior class. Also Wardy's favorite mini rider! Chase finished an impressive 4th overall, which was awesome!
We really enjoyed watching his motos. First moto, he had a good start, and finished 5th, and was a 1/2 second behind 4th at the finish. He almost had him, too bad they didn't run one more lap! Second moto, Chase pulled the holeshot (!!!) and finished on the podium with 3rd! In the final moto, Chase bumped another rider in the start, and was outside the top 30 on the first lap. He put in an amazing ride to pass into the top five with the best of the nation! So he went 5-3-5 for 4th overall, very cool!!
