Removing Clutch Slave Cylinder on 300 E/XC

Can the clutch slave cylinder be removed without any undue precautions? I'd like to remove it, clean everything and re-install it. I think some grit might have gotten in there when I installed the slave cylinder protector.

Comes off and on no problem. Just remove the bolts. Remember not to squeeze the lever while it's off though. ;)

...and lean the bike to the right when removing the cylinder! Otherwise you'll have a freshly oiled garage floor.
