Repacking a silencer

I have read some stuff about repacking a silencer but I still have some doubts.
I have a HGS(European) pipe and a RINO(European) short silencer in my CR 128 (1998), but I would like to put my bike sounds better (more stronger well as male scream you know what I means) !
I have easy access to FMF, Pro Circuit repack or should I use a fiberglass ? Are these repacks responsible for sound improving response ? If so what the differences about sound and engine response if I tight to much the repack product in power core or not tight to much.

If you have access to some ready made packing such those by FMF, or PC go for it. That packing will last much longer than fiberglass and be easier to install. If you only have access to fiberglass, remember that it will only last about 5 tank full. Also you have to pack it as tight as you can for it to even last that long. The reason why you have to keep the packing in shape is not only for sound. It is also for performance. When the packing starts to wear out, there is more turbulance in the silencer and it robs you some power at the same time.

I have heard the "fiberglass vs dedicated packing" debate over and over. I have used both, and have found no advantage to using dedicated packing material over fiberglass. They both will become oil-saturated at about the same rate, and I can detect no appreciable difference in the sound level or performance between the two. The one thing I can say is that regular fiberglass is so much cheaper, if you repack frequently like I do, then the longevity is not an issue, and you are still ahead financially over using the bike stuff. I can repack my silencer a dozen times with fiberglass for what it costs to do it once with manufactured bike packing, so who cares if it doesn't last as long?

:think so could a spooged up silencer be really bad and cause my jetting to be screwed-up??? (on all jets??)

I would like to thanks your replies on this issue but I still more information because I have no experience on repack a silencer.
Sometime ago I have read that did not exists a method to repacking a silencer !

" Its pretty self explanatory. Just cut the piece to the proper length of the silencer, and its width so it is slightly longer than the circumference. Wrap safety wire around each of the ends so it stays in place..."

- If I tight the repack to much what could happens ? and what happens in opposite ?
- There exists any relation between the repacking product and the ´magic´sound from the silencer ?
- Should I use a wrap safety wire based on paper ? as I use in home to isolate the windows from catch ink when I paint them ?

If it is too tight, it can't absorb the oil or the sonic wave pulses. The result is a lot of spooge and poor high-rpm performance.If the packing is too loose, it will blow out of the core.

- Should I use a wrap safety wire based on paper ? as I use in home to isolate the windows from catch ink when I paint them ? Masking tape works fine, that is what I use.
