O OLD-N-SLOW Member Nov 21, 2000 168 0 Jul 6, 2001 #2 The factory silencer does not have packing. Just remove lower bolt to drain the spooge. If i'm remembering my service manual correctly they say to run bike with that bolt out and tap on the silencer to remove the caked on stuff. Steve
