I need some help. The manual mentions using a bearing removal tool to pull the front wheel bearings out. But is there another homemade, redneck ;) method for this?

I'm trying to replace mine, and have everything apart to this point. :bang:

Thanks....

Take a punch or screwdriver and move the spacer inbetween the bearings, then you can knock out the bearing on the opposite side.

I wouldnt use a screwdriver. A brass punch is the redneck tool of choice for me. Lots of light taps all the way around the circumference several times. It shouldn't be a brute force deal.

I used a socket extension and tapped mine out. Pressed the new one in using the old one up against it. Whole job took about 15 minutes. Worked like a charm. Don't forget to pack it up with some grease. I used Belray Saltwater Proof Grease. I live on a Caribbean Island, you never know when you need a little extra protection.
