Hello all. i just tore the topend off my 93 (?) YZ125. Does anyone know what is an acceptable ring end gap? Im measuring .021". Also the piston looks good but how can u tell if a new piston is needed or if just ringin it will suffice? Im assuming that the cylinder in Nicasil?! Any input will be appreciated, and yes i know i need a manual.
Thank you.

Buy a service manual, it will tell you everything. Remember on the ring gaps, running a little too loose wont hurt anything. Too tight and you can end up with a broken piston and/or damaged plating.
