hey guys im new to this forum and ive got a couple questions;

i bought a bike in march, an 89 rm 125. i had it for 3 days and lost the motor.. con rod bearing gave up and seized solid. i replaced the entire crank, new cylinder, piston all new gaskets, crank bearings seals etc.

when i got my bike going, i got so far as the end of my driveway and it locked up again. but with the clutch disengaged the bike would kick over and run, with it engaged she was locked solid. i pulled the clutch cover and found a post had broken and spun around taking another post and part of the cover with it. springs etc too. ive bought a new compelete clutch assembly. and am waiting for it to arrive should be sometime next week. im thinking maybe when the engine seized up the shock somehow stressed cracked the post? has anyone else any other ideas why it would happen? and is there anything else to look for before i re-assemble it. maybe also it just gave up under fatigue, this is an old bike.

any opinions would be appreciated. thanks.
