In the beginning of the summer I got ahold of a 1994 Suzuki RMX250, jetted, after market exhaust, brush busters, RM gearing, ect. The thing was it wasn't running because it had been sitting for like 5 years in a garage. So I cleaned it up and got fresh gas in it and i can get it started, after like 20 or 30 kicks at least. But it just doesnt feel like it has any power.

A. How hard is it to clean the carbs on these machines? I have minimal experience cleaning old snowmobile carbs.

B. Any other suggestions to get it running? I already put a fresh plug in.

Thanks guys, your advice is apreciated.

Check compression, low compression can make it hard to start. The carb is realitively easy, loosen the clamps, unscrew the slide and cable, remove the carb. Then you can remove the float bowl and get to the jets.Blow the jets out with carb clean, make sure they are not clogged, check the float and needle and reassemble.I have a 94' RM 250 that I bought used for $1200.

Cleaning the carb is a piece of cake. Like Pauly250 said, clean it with carb cleaner, and if you can blow some compressed air through the jets. Sounds like the pilot let may be clogged. I live in Erie and old bikes dont bring much here. I couldnt get 2500 for my 02 rm250. I saw a 92 rm125 in the paper for 1200, its been in for a few weeks now.
