my FMF pipe is starting to go a little rusty, especially close to the engine. What should i do to make it clean again? Its a gold colour too so do i need to repaint it or will it be gold beneath the rust?

Car wax and polishing compounds will remove most surface rust on your pipe and restore some of the original shine. Once mine got bad enough, I had mine ceramic coated locally for $35, which is much more durable and is "supposed" to help marginally with performance. As to whether or not engine performance is affected is spurious at best, but the coating is nice and has a dull shine similar to a polished, aluminum rim.

Just spray it with a little WD-40 and it'll look like new again :)

Go to your local grocery store and get a bottle of lime away. This will eat the rust right up,wear gloves when you are doing this and keep your eyes safe.

After you clean it off, go with Nikki's idea about the WD-40, it works great to keep it from rusting.
