Yep he and Spider would make quite a team looking at both their X-Rays. Amazing how fast they put them back up on their feet after something this serious. When I broke my femur back in the Iron ages I had a full leg cast for 2 months.
Hope he is healing quick Spider saw the ortho back here today for the first time and was told no MX until at least August

It took 10 days for the swelling from loss of blood,doc said it can be fatal!

How many weeks did it take to heal? Glad he is getting better! When is he getting back into riding?

I think what would be fatal for me if I broke my femur would be my dad killing me :laugh: . He was really mad this week-end when he saw I had bruised the elbow I broke last year.

Holy cow, August!! Stacy got plated/screwed yesterday (wrist) and they told her back to full duty at work in 8 weeks, so she's thinking 6...

The thumb was snapped just above the first joint ,solid 6 weeks in cast total.He has no aspiration to run out and ride,yet! My daughter wants to step up,my wife will kill me! My boss and physical therapist will disown me if I ride,grhhhhhhhh!

Back in '71 I had to do six weeks in traction, six weeks in a full body cast, six weeks on crutches,- oops, put too much weight on leg - , six more weeks in body cast, six more weeks on crutches.
I don't plan on breaking my femur ever again!

When I broke mine in 2005, I had the option of the cast for six months, with no guarantee it would work, or the surgery and a Ti rod. I took the rod.

Alas, it didn't heal quite right so now I have to get the rod removed and a new one installed. I'm looking forward to that about as much as a barium enema.

But I can't ride again until it is healed properly.

Where is that barium again? :)

Non-unions suks.com,they are bad news.Young don't smoke,good health,and the cast fell off his hand! Thumb is in good shape and the leg seems solid,almost 3 weeks! But maybe a little hiatus again,or till a 250f with efi shows up! Haha bet he is riding in 2 weeks.
