Probably in the best shape I've been in the past 15 years, so I was really looking forward to the summer. But this darned insipid heatwave has made me completely lose interest in trying to ride. We had a cold front one day last week. It only hit 98 degrees. ........sigh.........

I know what you mean. 110 at my house yesterday. Putting gear on to ride is just out of the question.

Missouri
Missouri: Monday was 99. 99+70% humidity= 115. And no breeze.

Our club puts on a 200 mile National Dual Sport in June every year (tight!, more like an enduro)... the conditions were close to as above.

I'm a group leader for this ride and started with 5 riders on Saturday morning (110 miles on Sat), 20 miles in on Sunday I was the only one left! Can't say I blame em...

My phone said yesterday that Tulsa was supposed to be 109F on Saturday and 110F on Sunday. Now, it says those days will only be 105F and 107F. Thank god it changed !! Might try to squeeze in a half marathon Sunday about 2 p.m. Yeah, right.

Yeah, I feel like a huge wuss. My bike hasn't left the garage at all this summer. It's either been raining, or stupid hot.

Went to Wal Mart last night about 9 p.m. to pick up new toilet part as ours suddenly quit working. Seemed like a crisp fall evening, so I turned off the air and went with my windows down. Checked the temperature. It was a "crisp" 97 degrees. Funny how we adapt.

Illinois for the next three days: 97+ and 80-100% humidity. I guess the drag racers wont waste their tires doin burnouts to heat em up.

I'm in Denver this week and it is really great. Highes in the low 90's and 64 degrees this morning. I'll be back in the broiler this weekend though.

The only problem with that is I work on salary, so 45 or 85 hours pays the same for me. :bang:

So hopefully we'll avoid a meltdown for now.

That's BS.....you guys don't get bonuses for extra hours? My father in law is a maintenance tech and gets a hundred bucks for just showing up if he gets called in after hours, plus time and a half!
