I guess I am alone, but I am enjoying the heat. rode this am on the dirtbike and had a blast. Been mountainbiking as well lately, trying to chase my 16 year old son and enjoying that as well.

Gunna only be about 90 tomorrow here in Missouri tomorrow! :yeehaw:
That means just under 120 on the roof  (130 with 60-70% humidity)

Yeah?

That's BS.....you guys don't get bonuses for extra hours?

I don't do what Rich does, but I am a salary guy. Don't matter if I work 50 or 80 hours in a week or make my company $250,000 in a year or $1,000,000, I take home exactly the same each and every week. And in this economy, I'm glad I have it !!
But it is still too freakin hot for me to slip into my riding clothes.

Got to love black roofing? Well, in the winter its a good idea! I sure thought, the underside of the sheathing got hotter than this?

Having guaranteed pay is definitely nice......though I wouldn't know what it's like to have a fixed sum of money each week. My pay can go up or down by 3 or 4 hundred bucks a week depending on how busy we are. I just have to budget for the low end, which is ok because when I'm slammin at work it ends up being play money! This strategy has done the DRZ well this summer, lol.....

with that much i guess rich doesn´t need the tig to weld his car oil tank. put two parts close to each other and is done

It was indeed, and as a result you will not hear ME complaining about the heat. It was over 100 F two days last week and I was still able to go ride my mountain bike in the woods after work. Heat we can work around, snow is much worse.

This is getting outta hand! 30 something days in a row here about 100, I think I heard 33? 42 is the all time record from 1980. I'm going to need another mortgage to cover my electric bill.

In December '10, we had geothermal installed. Cut our electric bill in half, literally. The house now stays a constant temp. Best investment I've made. $18K was the installed price but we got rebates and tax credits that brought the acutual cost down to $10K, about the same as a new heat pump. HIGHLY recommend it.
We are looking at possible 117 here today, ALL TIME STATE HIGH! Blows 1980 away.
